How to use the Age Calculator
- Enter the birth date in the date field.
- Choose the date on which age should be measured.
- Read both the calendar age and exact elapsed-day count.
Calendar age, not an average year
Age is a calendar interval. The calculation advances through complete years, complete months and then remaining days. It also reports elapsed days as a separate measure because those two answers are useful for different purposes.
Dates use the proleptic Gregorian calendar and contain no time of day. The result therefore cannot change because the browser is in a different timezone.
With your numbers
- Calendar span from 1990-06-15 to 2026-09-20 = 36 years, 3 months, 5 days
- Elapsed days = 13,246

Common questions about the Age Calculator
- Why is age not total days divided by 365?
- Calendar years have different lengths. Age advances on calendar anniversaries, so the calculator counts completed years, then months, then days.
- How is a February 29 birthday handled?
- In a non-leap year, anniversary arithmetic clamps it to February 28. Legal birthday rules may differ by jurisdiction.
- Does the calculation use the current time?
- No. Both dates are explicit, so the result is reproducible and has no hidden timezone or clock dependency.
