Body-composition equations are estimates built from measurements, not direct observations of fat, muscle or health. Different accepted equations can produce different answers for the same person because they were derived from different study groups. These calculators name every equation, show accepted alternatives side by side where they exist, and keep the original measurement conventions visible. They do not diagnose obesity, malnutrition or any disease, and they do not replace laboratory or clinician-led assessment.
